I wanted to respond being a northerner most of my life. Right now it's 3 below 0 in Kansas City MO, and many places in our country. I do empathize with all of you. I love all the places I've lived, MN, UT, MO, Long Island NY. All had cold. Due to my health I moved south to SW FL. It was a sacrifice but allows me to go out all year. I'm not suggesting this to anyone. I'm mentioning it because it has made a positive difference. Today it is 70 degrees and raining. I may need to move north again to be closer to my family/daughter and her family. If I do I plan to have what I need to warm up in my home and keep my body agile. I feel for my Mom, 87 years young with this cold. Until I moved south I didn't know how much it would improve my pain and give options to keep moving outdoors. Hang tight northerners. Like I said, I loved north, snowshoeing, skiing , snowmobiling to Denny's for pancakes when all roads were closed. Watching the snow fisherman in their houses on the lake behind my house. I go home and rejoice, I come back south to my home and it is my present. Bless you all. Stay warm. Lola
The cold and change it the weather hurts so bad
Cold is not a friend. Humidity is not much better. While a positive attitude always helps, this disease is not in your head!
Cold damp weather kills me! Any quick changes in the barometer don't feel so good though.
I'm an "overly warm person" naturally (I don't own a sweater, LOL), so I'm okay with a cold breeze - I keep bedroom window open an inch for air, even more, at 8 degrees. I DO, however, find that the barometric pressure is what I need to keep track of... HUMIDITY is what "kills" me. What I NEED to do is move to the american Southwest, where the climate is arid! I feel my VERY best when I'm down there!
