Shoulder Pain?
A MySpondylitisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Does anyone else have shoulder pain? It started a week ago.
I don’t remember doing anything that hurt it.
I can move it and use it but sometimes I get an awful pain. My arm also feels weaker than usual and shaky.
I know AS can affect the shoulder but not sure how common or what the symptoms are like.

Thanks

@A MySpondylitisTeam Member. Rib pain is also frequently called chostochondroitis. Regular deep diaphragmatic breathing exercises helps this if done at least 4/5 days per week for 15/20 minutes each session. Plenty of you tube and other video demonstrations online. It takes about 4-6 months to improve and the remainder of the year get rid of this type pain. Like with most other PT regimens, 4-6 months regular prescribed movements to notice improvements, the rest of your life to be rid of it.💪not like we have anything better to do, likely more fun or relaxing, than exercise but thats what it takes for all forms of arthritis to minimize pain, with or without meds and surgeries etc. Don't shoot the messenger.😳

Hey, I learned this week the various impacts and symptoms you can experience abd pain in other body parts is one of them. I often have an ache/pain in my left rib cage. I could previously explain it but now understand it’s linked to AS. Hope this help. Sending hugs x

I had cervical surgery, c2 to t2
.I had shoulder arm pain then nut hoped the surgery would help. Nope. But most of the pain is in my left elbow, wrist, and hand. Seeing a hand doctor, who as mild AS, and the nerves in the elbow and wrist are very damaged. The right hand has trigger fingers..just had 2 injections that are helping. Next appointment we'll discuss the left arm.
Simponi aria has not helped at all
