Hi, has anyone tried softwave therapy for AS? I have been reading about it and it is certainly not a complete solution to autoimmune based arthritis like AS, but it sounds like it can increase blood flow and reduce inflammation for some time. Maybe an alternative to steroid shots in the SI joints which I have tried. Just curious if anyone has tried it? Hope everyone is doing ok!
Ok good to know! Thank you.
Oh yeah! I had to Google it to see what it is. I forgot what it was called.π€¦ββοΈ Yes, I did have that a couple treatments. A chiropractor I used to see tried it on me a few years ago and also a physical therapist about one year ago. Nada. Not even a little. You get much better results with a massage wand, tens unit, or jetted tub. Even a regular non bubbled tub in hot water works better, heating pad. Go for it if it's free. Otherwise don't spend a dime no matter what the pitch. They say patients need at least 10 treatments to possibly notice improvement.π€
Ha! I might give it a try. It is not covered by insurance. The first session is relatively inexpensive to see if it is helpful but after that, it is not cheap. If I get one session, I will let you know how it goes.
Never heard of it. You go first.πLet us know how it works out for you please.ππ
No but sounds greatπ
