Are You Experiencing Progression With AS)

A MySpondylitisTeam Member asked a question 💭
Tampa, FL

Are your symptoms continually getting worse (aka progression)? This Q&A is not about advice. I just want to know if and how many others are experiencing progression of AS. I am not sure if all AS patients are going through this, a large percentage, or if it is just a small percentage?

Yes my disease is progressing slowly with age. I would love to see the ,” so called remission “ that doctors are fond, of talking about.

Since I hit 50 it has really progressed. I feel like I’m falling apart. Miss my independence!

Yes. Slowly. The pace hastens when illness or injuries slow me down. Or, I eat foods that I don't know trigger severe flare-ups. I would love to see a study of 3,000 or more of persons with AS about this question.
