My fatigue responds to my doing something I truly enjoy. For me growing and caring for orchids seems to help me boost energy and then lessen fatigue . They are not nearly as difficult as one would think. They are in need of occasional misting to keep up humidity and watering just right, not too much. Their roots like to breath and can’t do that under water, like me! When I do my best I am rewarded with a beautiful flower giving me a sense of accomplishment.
Simple things like this can work miracles with many of the difficulties we are faced with each day.

I am having a wawaa day. It's cold and raining. I send big hugs to everyone. The pain and fatigue really brings me emotional down. I wonder if the few people around me understand, and know I'm not joking to get out of an event or something.
With AS and other crap plus PTSD. I want to crawl into a hole and hide. All of you have helped me know I am not alone.
Thank you so much.

Thankfully there are lots of other answers on here too! But belief in a higher power is very beneficial for many as is meditation. Endorsing a particular religion is not helpful though in my opinion

I'm 68, I have been diagnosed with several autoimmune issues, ankylosing spondylitis, psoriatic arthritis, rumatoid arthritis, Fibromyalgia, type two diabetic insulin dependent, and Hypothyroid, I have multiple levels, think from the base of my skull to tailbone, of herniated discs and spondylosis, and spondylosis to the point of bone on bone in my spine, facet fusing in my neck and multi level disc abutment of the central spinal cord with stenosis. With peripheral nerve pinching in my low back causing numbness and burning along with muscal atrophy in my thighs and buttocks. I have lost three inches in height from my tallest. I have had both shoulders rotator cuff repaired with two screws in the right one and one screw in the left one. I have since reinjured my right shoulder and my surgeon says I have developed extensive bone spurs and when my use and pain get to a ten he will do a reverse joint implant as I have no rotor cuff tendons left to work with. I am only using my deltoids to move my arm. I have various levels of pain in my hips and hands depending on my inflammation levels. My index index middle finger base joints are almost immobile.
I think they don't really know what I really have. I am on Remacade infusion as a treatment, it pretty much covers them all.
I am not able to take methotrexate due to a fatty liver and it elevated my liver enzymes when I took it. I stopped drinking almost a year and a half ago so there is that vice gone. I have noticed that my psoriasis symptoms are all butgone after I stopped drinking
I have been working 60 hours a week for the last couple months. My type of work is moderately physical, assembling electrical process control panels requiring lots of bending over large panels to string wires from point to point.
My pain levels get so high from inflammation I have to do a methyl prednisone pulse pack to deal with it. But that creates another problem as it causes my blood sugars to sky rocket in order to just keep it below 400 mg/DL I have to use about eight times the normal amount of insulin.
Last night I was able to get fourteen hours of good sleep and that did wonders for my fatigue and general pain levels. We finally stopped working OT this Friday.
I use the Freestyle Lebre 2 to monitor my blood sugar. It is quite helpful keeping tabs on my numbers and knowing when my blood sugar is going high so I can dose with more insulin as needed. It also alerts me when my blood sugar is going low so I can eat a snack to keep from going dangerously low and dying from a diabetic coma. Rest is my biggest go to for pain management along with getting up every day for work which keeps me physically active... I hope this helps someone, knowing that you can keep going in spite of it all.

I find stress adds to my fatigue. So I try to take one day at a time. I use to beat myself up (mentally speaking) if I took a nap. But now I love myself enough to listen to my body and I take a nap in peace. Sometimes a hot bath with epsom salt helps relax me so I can embrace the fatigue. Sometimes 432 hertz music helps with fatigue. Sometimes being in nature and earthing. My advice: just love yourself.
