Pain Management
A MySpondylitisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Does anyone know what is available out there for pain that isn't a NSAID since I can't take them because of my Crohn's disease and that I'm on a blood thinner and Tylenol doesn't help with any of the pain?

Went to ER today and they gave me prednisone 20mg 2 1x day for 5 days and Methocrabamol 750mg every 4 hours as needed

My dr appointment was moved to this Wednesday from next week Wednesday so hopefully I can get on the right meds to slow down the progression

hydrocodone 7.5/325 (narcotic) doesn't work as well as NSAIDs, but helps

I don't see my dr till the 24th to see what the next steps are going to be and yes I do have marijuana that I do use when I can but it's not medical though, it's recreational.

Trying to get in sooner to see the Dr though

Have you asked your doctor about Celebrex? It works in a different way than other NSAIDs and I think it's considered safer when it comes to GI problems. Also, if you don't want to go the opioid route, have you considered medical marijuana?

Tramadol with extra strength Tylenol is what I’m using at the moment…. Not ideal but better than nothing!!
