Postoperative rfa two weeks. I'm struggling with a burning, tingling, stabbing, and numbness type pain on the sides of both hips and my lower back under the injection sites. Is this normal
I can't sleep with this--taking Ibuprofen, using ice, heat, tried sports cream and penetrex cream. Even tried taking hydrocodone and that doesn't help either. My husband and I hoped this was the answer to my chronic pain and suffering. Sometimes I think he takes it harder than I do. Everyday he asks how I'm feeling when I wake up and I feel bad telling him I still have pain. Was hoping to reduce or eliminate having to take pain medications multiple times a day. 🤷♀️
I had to wear soft camis for 2 years after a double lumbar fusion because my skin was so sensitive to the touch. The camis covered the possibility of a tag or other material touching my skin. I experienced all the new pain you’ve described from the surgery and the old pain. I’m sorry you’re going through this 😔
Thanks. It seems like this procedure creates more pain. It's a new pain on top of the old pain.
Yep. Normal for us. Sometimes I hate to wear clothes or get under my covers because they hurt me.
