Midland, MI

Pain in my lower back has become more than I can handle on most days. I have seen an Orthopedic back doctor who diagnosed me but due to me also having MS will not treat with medication.

In my experience a rheumatologist is your best bet. Even then, not all rheumatologist I have seen were truly up to date on research. So you may need to try more than one. Stick with it until you find someone who understands. In addition, if you have 2 autoimmune diseases, you can consider alternative helpers, such as a functional nutritional therapy practitioner.
I am sharing this link that will take you to the "Autoimmune Besties Podcast" where they discuss how they help keep their autoimmune diseases in check through diet and lifestyle...one of the ladies has MS the other Hashimotos, but the ideas apply to all autoimmune diseases. Best of luck!
