OMG YES… This started 3yrs ago and the pain is severe from my cheekbones down and from ear to ear that’s when my Regular Dr asked me if I ever tried steroids for my back and neck … This is how I finally got started with my inflammatory Dr… All because of my face pain… Although from the set criteria for AS it supposedly doesn’t fit BUT I read that it is common with Fibromyalgia That I also suffer from..’

Yes...I was diagnosed with TMJ with mine, before AS. I was told it goes hand in hand. I first saw a dentist who then sent me to a TMJ therapy clinic. I'm not saying that's what you have, but I'd definitely get checked out

Using alcohol to self medicate. I started feeling that I was doing this. Why? You feel better when you consume alcohol. The repercussions are to great so I talked with my doctor and I have cut way back.
