Numbness/pain In Butt Area?
A MySpondylitisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Does anyone get pain and/or numb feeling in your butt/ SI-joints area? I managed to go for a walk but it’s not going away. I am using a heating pad to help but so far it isn’t doing much.
Odd question, I know, but curious if others get this also.

Hi Marley4,
I’m wondering why your doctor told you to take only two Turmeric the therapeutic dose is 1500 mgs a day. My capsules are 500 mgs so I take three every day. The only other thing I do for the pain when it gets really bad is I have the roll on IcyHot with a strong pain medication in it. It does help me somewhat. I weaned myself off prescription pain medication before I got addicted to it. Just lying of sitting very still is what I do also. I have learned to NOT push myself to do housework or laundry when I’m in pain. It must wait on me to feel better. I’m moving to East Texas and I must pack up my stuff. I’m not going to over do it either. My granddaughter is going to hand me the stuff that needs wrapping and I’ll sit on the couch and do it. She will do the rest! Thank God. Sending you gentle hugs 🤗

Yes, I do. Whenever I walk, I get burning and pain in my buttocks, SI joints (which have fused themselves together), hips, legs, and feet. I also use heat as well as positioning and elevation. Sometimes, unfortunately, nothing helps. Hopefully ,this made sense. Brain fog today.

I'm catching up after long absence from online communications. I have not experienced the symptoms you are describing, but I would think the numbness is a result of pressure on nerves that serve that area--in short, your symptoms make sense, depending on which part of your spine is affected by spondylosis or spondylosthiasis.

I think they are still worried about my kidneys since November ìs when I had renal failure, and Tumeric is processed through the kidneys. Thank you for your advice, Anna Grace. A gental hug for you as well! One can never have enough hugs
