Members shared a wide variety of exercises that help manage spondylitis and related conditions, with water-based activities being especially popular, including swimming, water aerobics, and pool exercises that allow for gentle movement and pain relief. Several members described creative solutions like walking laps around Walmart with a cart for support, using YouTube videos for at-home workouts (including chair exercises for bad days), following Silver Sneakers online classes, and working with personal trainers focused on core strength and low-impact movements. A recurring theme was the importance of listening to your body, refusing to give up despite intense pain, finding what works individually (from yoga and stretching to dry needling therapy), and leaning on faith and determination to keep moving forward even when the weather or flares make it incredibly difficult.

I go to WalMart grab a cart and walk around the Super WalMart 4 times. I plan on increasing it a lap a week. Then I come home and take a hot shower because my back is hurting, and hip is burning. This really helps me. It's not as bad as it use to be. I refuse to let this get me. My faith is strong. Blessings . I keep you all in my prayers every day.

I walk at home. My neurologist and ortho doc told me to stay on level ground. That is a very difficult thing to find on my 8 acres here in the NC mountains. I also do Silver Sneakers online. The nearest gym that they do is a bit of a drive for me so online is best.

I will work out at the gym. I take part in Swimming πŸŠβ€β™‚οΈ and water aerobics classes least 2x a week. I will also get on a low cardio machine to help me maintain the strength in my legs and arms, too.

I try to walk but my lower back hurts so bad, so I stop and sit down.

Yes, at times this is very difficult especially with this cold weather but I must try.

Doing nothing is not an option. Feeling sorry for myself is not an option!!
