Are Any Folks Being Treated With Opioids?
A MySpondylitisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I was on very low dose of Ultram and it helped me. Since moving to another place, I have not been able to receive anything at all. My MRI and x rays show the deteriorated spine I have, but only give spine injections. Not going for that option.🥺

Good morning 🌞, I so relate to what your saying and sadly experiencing too. If our quality of life is so important, then why ignore our very real suffering? For some injections, and things inserted into the spine etc may work, but what about people like us? If someone shows they are responsible with the medication and using it carefully with respect to the ( 🙄 duh) Opioids problem, why are we being punished? I know how serious the problems are, even before it became front page news. I appreciate your sharing with me and others. I wish there was a solution rather than making it the white elephant 🐘 in the room and our lives. One size does not fit all...

I have the same problem. It really doesn't make sense to me. The people that have cronic pain were not supposed to be affected by the, "opioid epidemic". This is ridiculous to me because I was able to have a life but now that I don't have a doctor that will prescribe me any pain medication, I am in constant pain I can't do anything, and that hurts too. It really isn't fair. I was stable when taking them. I have been talking them for at least 10 years. I just don't know what to do.

There is no surgery for lumbar disc disease or my scoliosis.
In spite of dealing with 40 years of Fibromyalgia osteoarthritis and chronic migraines have raised kids and grandkids special needs. I think it sucks they have nothing to help this Grandma or anything one else. I never had an opioid problem. I worked hard all my life and continue to do good for others people and animals.
Thanks for your kindness in asking.
