I met w/pain management. They are doing a back injection. I've had many with no pain relief at all. My question: Has anyone had a back injection that worked after having many that didn't?

Thank you all for your replies. I really appreciate it. I cancelled the back injection. The weird coincidence is that I got COVID so I wouldn't have been able to get the injection anyway. I'm not going to reschedule it. Everything points to it being a bad idea. I'm discouraged that the physician who knew me for less than 5 minutes ordered it. sigh

Yes i have had injections at intervals. Dont work. Keep walking. I go to p t twice a week and have for 4 yrs. On off days i walk. Built up to two and a half miles. Then i stretch n exercise. Keep moving thru the pain or u wont b able to walk. Stay lean. Feed the birds. Theres a free app. Map my walk. You can track your distance speed etc and also gym or therapy workout. Really helps to see wat u have accomplished. Dont swim in the pool. Exercise. Amazon has floating dumbells. That help you exercise and under yor arms you can float. Very helpful. Just keep movin. Blessings.

My injections have NEVER WORKED. Our wonderful government has made it a mandatory procedure if you need pain medication. So, we are put through more unnecessary pain! Ugh, there's always a catch 22

I have the exact diagnosis. Only difference I've put off the 2nd failed back surgery. My pain Dr. does injections, they have Never helped. I have done everything in my power to help myself. Acupuncture, chiropractor, PT, meds. I wish I had answers for you. They want to burn my nerves. They can't get the right nerve with the injections, why would I let them burn those nerves??? I have no faith 😂 n my pain Dr. If I go to him and say" Hi, everything is great. It's a pleasant visit. If I have questions problem or complaint. He actually has yelled at me.Shocking! I wish you the best, don't give up!!! HOPE, we can have HOPE!

I have had about 12 , the first couple times I really didn’t feel much relief, but after the 3rd time I actually started feeling relief! Don’t get me working they only last about 6 weeks and if the don’t do them on time I’m in miserable pain! Nonetheless I keep going as I’ll take what little relief I can get when I can get it! Good luck to you!
