I am to have surgery for this implant on the 22 of oct..and I am nervous about the pain involved with it in addition to my back pain as they wont turn the device on till after I am healed. Any advise and experience welcome
I am also having a stimulator implanted but they are doing a trial run first for a week. I honestly thought that would be standard practice but maybe not. Could you ask for a trial run before getting a permanent one? Im with you Iβm nervous too. I hope it works out for you. ππ
Don't do it
I have had an implant for over 3 years now. It has been very beneficial and as my pain advances the implant is adjusted to cover it.
I don't need to have it on 24/7. Just with flair ups. I love it! When it's on, I don't even notice it.
Did you ever get yours?
Mine is by Boston Scientific. I am safe to get CT & MRI scans.
Good luck β‘
I did have the trial and it was a wonderful outcome my pain level was decreased by at least 60 percent..As of now I havent had the permannet implant surgery yet..Had releases for surgery from my cardioliogist, my primary physician..I teseted postive for covid even tho fully vaccinated I just felt like I had a cold nothing serious so I was quarenteened for a month..and then thanksgiving came and they at the dr office were off for a week...so now I am waiting to be resheduled.Sorry about mispelling..my spell check isnt working
