I am also having a stimulator implanted but they are doing a trial run first for a week. I honestly thought that would be standard practice but maybe not. Could you ask for a trial run before getting a permanent one? Im with you I’m nervous too. I hope it works out for you. πŸ™πŸ™

I have had an implant for over 3 years now. It has been very beneficial and as my pain advances the implant is adjusted to cover it.
I don't need to have it on 24/7. Just with flair ups. I love it! When it's on, I don't even notice it.
Did you ever get yours?
Mine is by Boston Scientific. I am safe to get CT & MRI scans.
Good luck β™‘
