Hello again, I am wondering if anyone else out there with spondylitis has had trouble with wearing contacts? I have been unable to wear them for about 5 years now, and have tried every brand. I just went through an attack of scleritis and the dr put me on prednisone and antihistamine drops. My eyes do not feel like they have sand in them any more.😁 Dry eye and eye irritation goes with AS unfortunately. I do not use contacts and do not think I could. good luck
Hmmm when I was in high school I wore them. Two yrs ago I tried again.I couldn't stand them on my eyes anymore. Didn't think it was from Spondy but it could be the case
Lol 😂 lunch … LUCK 🍀!
I have never been able to tolerate them due to not enough tear production they initially said. Later I was diagnosed with Sjourn Syndrome and now I have the dreaded uveitis. It’s all related to AS. I’m praying when I start a biologic this eye pain and vision trouble will stop. Good lunch to you as well☺️
The best was when I went to work the next day & they were still swollen but not as bad. The secretary told me it must be an allergic reaction to something. And I was like yes I am literally allergic to myself lol now you get it!
