Yes, I've had 2 so far. It was incredible to feel very little pain. They use them in the hospital post surgery. It's something they inject every 4 to 6 hours when you have pain. When my doctors give it to me it lasts 24 to 48 hours. I know that's not a long time but it certainly is a wanted relief. A break from the pain I will take anytime.
I don't know if it works for everyone but it's definitely worth talking to your doctor.
I’m not great at consistent exercise bc I was always underweight most of my life. Always active, often overdoing had its benefits…😋 Now due to several health issues I can’t exercise normally but I DO stretches everyday, take longer strides when working in the yard, dance w/my 7 lb. Chi, Sarah 😂, bend when I can (after morning stiffness subsides) I can still touch the floor!😉 It’s probably not enough but it’s something & it helps!
Maureen, Yes, stretching things out sure makes a difference. I love Thi Chi, it is so calming. That is amazing you can touch the floor. Impressive, I am sure it helps you stay limber. My lumbar fusion would not like that! 🤪 Like you, I was always active, I had taught aerobics for 20 years, volleyball, etc. I was there! My stroke in 2008 took all that fun stuff away, but I am grateful for what I can do, I have a tricycle I ride almost daily, great to get out of doors. Be well my friend and enjoy your day 🙂
Has your doctor given you a Toradol shot in your buttocks? It's worth a shot (pun intended).
@A MySpondylitisTeam Member, hello, My Dr. has prescribed Naproxen 2 times a day, and one and 1/2 Hydrocodone, and I am still in pain, I do stretches, I used a heat belt in the AM to loosen up my back, I wear a back brace and I use CBD, that helps a lot. Hope this helps
Blessings,
