I have signify that pain in my feet. Any suggestions to minimize this pain. So far, the only thing I can find to lessen the pain is a pair of Hokas. There has to be more that I can do.

Members shared practical strategies for managing significant foot pain, with some finding relief through hot water soaks for daily ankle pain while others emphasized that ice packs and cold therapy were more effective than heat, especially after extended standing or walking. Several members discussed using Voltaren gel with mixed results, noting it worked well for some joint pain but not others, and that taking breaks from it prevents the body from building tolerance. A recurring theme was the importance of experimenting with different approaches since what works varies greatly from person to person, along with the community's warmth in supporting each other through painful challenges with both practical advice and emotional encouragement.

I too have bad foot pain
& burning especiallyy if I've spent too much time standing or walking. ICE PACKS help my foot pain. Heat worsens the pain!
I hope you try Ice packs but start slowly & don't let the cold stop you from the ice therapy
Start with cold water packs.
I use the ice packs that are filled with some kind of gel that doesn't freeze hard, stays pliable. My packs are 9X12 & I can wrap my foot with it. I also use a bootie I found On Amazon that comes with 2 3"X4" thin ice packs with the same type of filling. It's amazing how much cold helps. It will feel very cold at first, don't give up & don't over use ice packs to the point of causing further injury to your feet. I've found heat increases my pain. Amazon sells a bootie that holds 2 small ice packs that really helps!
I hope this information helps others suffering with foot pain.
I'm blessed to have discovered this group! Thanks everyone for the warm welcomes & helpful information.
God bless everyone!!

If I don't laugh I'll cry. And I'm ugly when I cry.

Susan,
I broke my little toe. The break cut off the blood flow. Gangrene set in over 1/2 of my toe. While I was waiting for the surgeon to make up his mind I was getting dressed one morning I pulled the leg of my pants on and heard a small click. The 1/2 toe just fell off. I saw the surgeon about a week ago and he just said, "Come back in a couple of months & we'll see what it looks like".
I think my body has a medical mind of its own. The bad part of the toe fell off and I had a fungus on my toenails that's growing out. The 1/2 closest to the nail bed is white and the other half if ugly yellow.
So, that's the toe story. 🤣

It does that sometimes,JoReinhard, your pain in your back must be the worst. Tell me about your poor toe sometime, sorry about your fall. I can't use that volteran gel all the time if I do it stops working, so I only use it on real bad days. Take care❤️🙏🙏🙏
