The more I hurt the more I shake, to the point that I have trouble holding my cup, or anything for that matter in my hands. I get almost spastic in my movements, and it also effects my speech to the point that I stutter. Am I alone in this?
I do that too. Hold my head to one side. My clothes even hang differently on one side. They always look crooked. I'm going to look up that Cervical Dystonia. I have never heard of that.
Me too! I'm definitely crooked! Scoliosis and the doctor said my back is like an out of shape pretzel. I inherited it and my daughter too. When I went to get my drivers license they kept saying don't tilt you head. Ha! Nothing isn't untitled now! Remember Quasimodo?
finally went to see another neurologist. @ IleneNKreider, We had a long talk and he asked me many questions. He did some blood test, and needs to do one of them over next week. My B-12 was a little low so I have to start taking it again. He gave me a name of it (Cervical Dystonia). Gave me lots of papers to tell me about it. A lot of reading. I've done reading and looking up on my computer. But still don't understand it much. He wants to start Botox shots in my neck and shoulders, for the tightness in them. He said that I hold my head to one side because of it. Hugs, Katy
Have essential tremors in both hands, Primidone has helped quite a bit, would suggest you see a neurologist..
No your not alone with this @A MySpondylitisTeam Member. I shake in my arms and my legs. I'm seeing a Dr. that's giving me meds to try and help me to calm down my shakes and actually tremors. My leg or my arm will just jump out of nowhere. I somethings will really embarrass me. One thing I hate the most if at a camp out and just have my lap to holed my food on and next thing my food goes flying. So I know what you are talking about. My speech will stutter, didn't know that was part of it, must be though. Thanks for posting this. Hugs, Katy
