Newly Diagnosed And Want To Know What Is And Isn’t Related To The AS?
A MySpondylitisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I’ve read through several Q&A and don’t see info on some of my abnormalities. Anyone have easy or unexplained bruises all over you? Extreme sensitivity to tempatures? When feet are swollen they turn purple-redish color? My SI joints hurt but recently while I’m trying to exercise or sit my tailbone hurts, anyone else? Just trying to assure myself my rheumotogist is on the right track. Thank you 💜

Yes! My tailbone hurts occasionally when I sit down, and I’ve developed carpal tunnel pain in both hands and arms.

Hello Beth. I am a veteran teacher of 39 years, and I know you have lots of questions as I did.
I had the SI joint injection with no results. I also had three rhizotomies, two epidurals, and nothing worked. I’m now seeing Dr . Gregory Niemer with Lowcountry Rheumatology. He started me on Renflexis infusions. By the last one (#5), I finally have some relief, hallelujah.
I’m seeing Dr. James Price for carpal tunnel syndrome. He gave me splints to wear at night. They seem to be helping as well. Another hallelujah!
I hope this helps since we are “neighbors” in Charleston.
Good luck!
Donna

My feet do the purple thing, usually sitting. I elevate them for a bit.
