I am having a Fundoplication surgery on Friday and am wondering if this has gotten so bad for others that they have had the same surgery and what the outcome was? I am slightly concerned that it is being caused by my AS and Fybro and that even after surgery I may still have the issue. Have others gone through the same with medications failing and no other option other than having this done. Thanks
Sound like a promising surgery. I have horrible reflux. I believe it’s from taking to many pills. They get stuck. I have started taking my meds with pudding which has help quite a bit. Good luck!
Yes I have the same but I also have a small hernia at the top of my stomach, I believe it’s damage from my pain doctor previously putting me on tramadol for a year, I got sicker and sicker, and he ignored my complaints, he offered no other alternatives I had to just quit PM but not until after to got so bad I had my gallbladder removed, the small hernia just to the left of where stomach begins at the bottom of esophagus, I had ER visits for severe abdominal pain and only morphine would take it away, after stopping the tramadol severe symptoms went away but now left with chronic heartburn no gallbladder and restricted diet
