What Is Treatment For Spondylitis In Si Joint?
A MySpondylitisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Pain mgt doctor diagnosed & ordered injections to my si joints. I have gait, mechanical, leg length discrepancy issues. Will that defeat the relief from injections? Have hidradenitis, will that inflammation cause problems? Can injections be done at clinic without available images, only x Ray's during procedure? Will injections in my lower back help pain in my upper back/neck.

Hi Susan,

I know they do not like alternative therapies which is really sad cause they do eventually work at times. And that was so sad that the someone told U that you would have been a different person but it is so much money and the FDA does not approve alternative too. I did not do it either cause I know I could not get Medicare approval. And like I say that is lots of money to take a loan out. Hopefully better days will come for all of us. Sending U hugs and prayers and thank u for your hug to me.

I had steroid injections in both of my SI joints. It's very a very quick procedure with conscious sedation. You lie down on an X-ray table, you get numbed and the injections take about 2 minutes each. I also had inflammatory fluid removed. For me, they worked really well. My pain was gone the next day and I've only had some slight pain on my right side after and I had them at the beginning of June. I know they don't always work for every one but I had a lot of success with it.
