Many people with autoimmune diseases like AS also have other autoimmune ones. Dercum’s is fatty lumps under the skin that are extremely painful and cause fibromyalgia and many other symptoms including neurological. It is a progressive disease that can lead to lymphedema. The fat is not removed by diet an exercise and can only be removed by surgery or liposuction. I was blow off by doctors as it is rare and was told I just have lipomas and just because I’m overweight but after research I know… read more
Hi BarbieLux, Don't give up. Yes, there are many awful doctors who are clueless out there. I found one doctor who specialises in lipid disorders, and she properly diagnosed me. She also recogised my… read more
B27 disease" is a new autoimmune disease that afflicts millions of people throughout the world. "B27 disease" occurs in individuals who have ankylosing spondylitis (AS) or preankylosing spondylitis and/or uveitis and are also positive for HLA-B27. Molecular mimicry between the bowel microbe Klebsiella and the HLA-B27 molecule, as well as the spinal collagens types I, III, and IV, indicates a pathological mechanism involving autoimmunity. While the content provides valuable insights into treatment adherence and open communication with healthcare providers, it's worth noting that the post doesn't explicitly address the question it poses.

Does anyone else feel like their personality and outlook on life has changed?
I put a smile on my face but inside I just feel so sad. Like I’m just a shell of who I used to be. Like the old me is gone. Most days I am okay but some days it is such a struggle to do anything like chores or things I use to enjoy. I don’t know maybe I’m just having a rough day. I know talking to my fellow Spondylitis sufferers understand. 😔😟
Living with such a challenge has really affected me in every way. It means a lot to have a community. Thanks everyone
Thank you very much @A MySpondylitisTeam Member. I have both pad and blanket. I will wrap up in the blanket and hopefully can get some sleep🥰. Have a good night😍❤️😍
