I been dealing with my conditions since January 2017. But wasn't 100% diagnosed until October of 2018. The only treatment I had was PT and meds. My Dr hasn't said nothing about surgery or injections. John is right. I've gone to several Orthopedic specialists and they all say the same...surgery should be avoided as there are too many multiple areas that are damaged and surgery can cause more problems.
I recommend the dry needle therapy to rest muscles thAt may be pulling at the areas. I did my neck and hip with great success. Hip pain had me unable to bear much weight. That time the hooked of metal stimulation ( electronic pulses) , took a few more than expected at first. Now it hardly ever hurts like it had beforehand.
I get my spinal steroidal injections regularly and the most I've gotten out of them I'd say is one month or... and this happens a lot, I do something stupid like feel like super manish stupid.
@A MySpondylitisTeam Member seen a rheumatologist in November 2016 before I fell and that's when I found out I have degenerative disc disease. Seen him after my fall and he said nothing he could do to help. My orthopedic is for just my carpel tunnel surgery. My biggest problem is that I'm on medicaid state health insurance. I have to go to new Orleans to see Nero. Which I don't mind. Just need my PCP to send a referral over to Dr. And all the ones I called don't have openings for at least a year. Its just crazy.
I have been told surgery is the very last option and by my research they dont have good results
