Members connected over the intense pain of nighttime leg cramps, with many describing being jolted awake by severe cramping in their legs and feet that sometimes brought them to tears. Several members shared practical strategies that have worked for them, including taking magnesium supplements (such as magnesium citrate, malate, or oxide), drinking pickle juice or tonic water with quinine, eating bananas for potassium, staying well-hydrated, and applying topical creams or muscle relaxers like tizanidine. A recurring theme was the importance of experimenting to find what works for your individual body, whether that means adjusting potassium levels, using aggressive massage during episodes, or repositioning throughout the night to prevent cramps from starting.

Yes crazy pain. I make sure I’m getting enough water and they seam to lower. Also when these happen I make sure I get some salt in my system to retain water. This is my kookoo system not everyone is the same.

Yes, I have them every single night. I keep changing positions. I have tried putting a pillow between my knees. Have also tried the topical ketoprofen cream, sometimes it helps.
