Oh..he said the SI JOINT FUSION, will only tighten the joint so it can't hinge and rub bone on bone. That alone can relieve most of my walking pain, and can and should help with lower back pain.Nothing is guaranteed with any surgery. So just like buying a used car,you never know how good or bad it is untill you pay for it lol

I saw what my husband went through and have lost my trust and blind faith in doctors, used to think they were there to help you but not any more, they all have their own agenda, it's about money and their career, helping people is secondary. X

KarenNolan..ill never have another back surgery, but will do injections. My bad hip SI JOINTS are a different story. Its a,simple minimally invasive surgery.Half hour on each hip.1 inch hole on each hip then simple screws to tighten joint up so it's not grinding bone on bone.Go home the same day with crutches for 2 weeks..you are correct about being a Guinea pig.Ive been that pig for a couple surgerys.

I don't think anyone likes taking all this medication but this is not something that's going to get better so there's no point in suffering when you can take something to help. Hope you are feeling okay after your surgery and that it is worthwhile for you to have gone through it. I have to say the thought of surgery on my back scares me and I would not have it done unless I was going to be paralized or something that serious. One of my neighbours has had three operations on his back and now needs another but he said he has had enough and is not going through it again. It wasn't the same thing you had, think it was rods in the spine and from what I've read one operation in one place leads to another somewhere else above or below the first operation site. The doctors never tell you about the failures only about the people who are happy with what they have done. You know this from what has happened with you and having to have the stimulating device taken out, that doctor won't be telling people about that when he's persuading them to let him put one in them, I don't trust doctors anymore they just try stuff out on us and hope for the best. I suppose it's how they learn but it's no fun being the Guinea pig. Sorry don't mean to be so negative, glad you have got this out of you now and you can get better, it's no good when something meant to help just gives you more pain. X
