Unconventional things I have done/do to relieve pain, and go!

Lay on floor on my back with two tennis balls taped together to support my neck or help stretch my neck.

Lay on bed on large medication bottle in mid back to aid stretching, deeper releif.

Members shared creative and unconventional methods for managing chronic pain, with techniques ranging from DIY tools like taped tennis balls for neck support and medication bottles for back stretching, to acupuncture mats, TENS units, warm aquatics, and even fireball whiskey when all else fails. Several members described practical strategies including rice socks with lavender for heat therapy, wall exercises like butterflies to strengthen shoulder blades, bolster rolls and resistance bands for core work, and lifestyle changes such as eliminating sugar, using CBD and turmeric, and practicing meditation or prayer. A recurring theme was the importance of experimenting with different approaches since what works varies greatly by person and sometimes nothing helps at all, along with compassionate recognition that chronic pain requires both persistence and grace during the hardest days.

Parna mat (bed of nails) otherwise known as acupuncture mat. Tens/ems machine. Yoga breathing or any meditative breathing. Prayer. When all else fails fireball whiskey.

Hi Donna!! Have you ever tried a rice sock? I make them for my husband and son. I put lavender essential in the sock, then sew it up, put it in the mic, depending how big the rice sock is, I made a really big one for my husband, 5 minutes, that sock stays warm for a long time!! They both love it!! Good luck to you!! 😊

Those are interesting Craig.
I stand against a wide wall and "Do Butterflies." Keep my arms & back of hand flat against wall and raise them up the wall to almost shoulder height. I did 4 x' s originally and then spent a day in bed, back when I was still functional. I was still functional, but struggling. It seemed dumb. But The next day was anything but dumb!!!
Take it easy, slow.
Build up to 25 up to shoulder height.
Killer! But increases longevity of function. When I was on shots I would sit against wall and build my way back up.

Omg, there is no way I can even have nothing touching my back, it's hard to even lay on floor, that's way too hard..no way.
