I was recently in PNG and I caught malaria & tyhiod researching link between HLA B27 and AS

I’ve found a few articles on the net that seem to indicate that if you have the HLA B27 gene your more suspectible to severe, complicated malaria and it ties into AS ?

Same with typhoid does anyone know were I can find anymore information

After contracting these infections my AS has flared up quite badly and I’ve been struggling ever since

Possibly as you are immuno-compromised. If you take care of your diet and have your Meds, hope you will better and strong soon!. All the best.
