And if you were approved, may I ask if you have kyphosis and at what angle. If you had any special tests that social security was particularly interested in. Or anything you think was a decision maker in your case. Thank you to all who are willing to answer this question.
Have you tried using a lawyer?
Consults are and they usually won’t take their case unless they’re sure they can win.
My disability went through only after one denial but I have a lot more than AS I am dealing with. So I only had to wait a year. Do you have an attorney helping you with this?
I think they are trying to call my moved C7 AS. but it slipped from the abcess where i was getting epidural shots in the outer core of my spine.
Yes they thought the radiologist report of kobb 23 degrees kyphotic angle 80 would be sufficient. Along with my primary care and rhumatologist letters and RFC which all are good evidence. There is no question of advanced severe AS etc But apparently that is not the measurement called for in the listing 14.09c .. 45 or more degrees ...with imaging and physical examination from the verival 0 degrees...the report of 80 kyphotic angle etc my drs gave to my legal rep is not the test nor is it both imaging and physical examination for the measurement. I am trying to find this answer because at this point I am extremely curious what my result would be on this test. I am curious why no one knows how to interpret this criteria and translate it into ..here is the test you need to ask for, here is how to do it and document it. And it is odd that for something used in court asked for by the judge that no one had a simple answer. The listing doesn't even sound complicated. And I find it frustrating that my team of doctors and my representative can't use their resources to find out. But i have an appointment with an orthopedic surgeon tomorrow for my knee. I will ask her and see if she knows. I know that someone knows but trying to find this answer is beyond ridiculous. I could be wrong, but I have the feeling that it is an easy test that is not used often because there are better tests available that do the same thing and written differently. When I find out, I plan on letting everyone know what I just went through to find what test I needed to see if I meet the criteria asked for by a judge. How many other people have had this same question I wonder. How many thought they did the test and it was a different one and they still don't know. I hope I'm wrong but I am now convinced that this listing was written to confuse people with advanced AS.
I got mine first time to apply. AS, Fibromyalgia, depression, two neck surgeries removing the discs and fusing three vertibra with cadaver bone and metal plates.
I did all the application process. Didn't use a lawyer. My PCP filled out the medical parts.
