I am not sure if this will help anyone.
In the British news this week they are saying that someone who has had chickpox in their younger years. If the chickenpox has not completely disappeared then can lead to shingles in later life. Now they are saying that this could all have a know in effect with peoples nervous system. Causing nerves pain throughout the body.

Hi @A MySpondylitisTeam Member, would you share what the neurologist found out or told you? I go to a Neurologist in 2 wks. I have never had that specialist see me in the 4 decades I have experienced pain and fatigue.
Thank you for sharing.

I had severe middle/upper back pain and saw a Neurologist at University if Michigan. I had a Thoracic MRI which just showed a few bulging disks and mild Dowagers Hump, but nothing serious. I also had a Thoracic EMG which was abnormal, but the doctor thinks the pain was most likely caused by my Diabetes (Thoracic Radiculopathy). I had it for over a year but it is better now. I took Gabapentin, Flexeril and had months of Manual Physical Therapy to get it under control.
