I think a lot of it depends upon who does it @A MySpondylitisTeam Member. I have had better relief with some than others x

I've tried Acupuncture a number of times and had mixed results personally.

In regards to my AS I have not found it very effective
But for strains and pulls and such (muscle related) that could or could not have come from the main AS issues. I actually have had some success.

So my personal take home is
if its bone related, no positive results
If its muscle or nerve related, varying degrees of success

But everyone is different and allot of alternative medicines really come down to a persons mind set and how badly they want it to work.

So give it a try and see for yourself
Absolutely nothing to lose from doing it.

Just a FYI, when I have acupuncture done its by professions sports therapists or licenced Physiotherapists.
I avoid the old world type acupuncture places you see and hear about (but one day I will try that acupuncture that puts in like 500 heated needles just to say I did, heh one of my bucket list items to try)
But again that's just me

Yes, I had @acupuncture from 1999 to 2015 regular courses but been housebound for 2 years now so missing it greatly Kim. Just remember it has an accumulative effect hence a full course, then a gap, then another full course. It has served me well as a top up to my other pain meds. I have found though it can work stronger with some @acupuncture specialists than others. You may find the endorphins quite strong the first time and be surprised, this is why you must not drive and must have someone with you to take you home afterwards. I found it was around 20 mins to kick in after, and then I really needed to sleep for a few hours and those few hrs were the best sleeps in ages.

Good luck x
