Pains In My Ankles & Feet.
A MySpondylitisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Although it’s not a new pain, it’s a horrible pain & when it starts I can’t walk properly because from just above my ankles into my feet the pain is really bad, I feel like crying sometimes with it, because it’s that powerful.
I have put creams on them soaked them, massages them nothing helps I get very restless with the pain till I eventually fall asleep after fighting with the quilt, on the bed off the bed.

My feet and ankle are constantly painful, it's like a flipping bad toothache. Can't bend my big toe on one foot, this is the most annoying thing though. I sit trying to will my toe to bend, don't know how that as come about. It's not painful just sort of fused stiff.

My Spondylitis is mostly in my ankles and feet. I find if I stand for to long the pain gets worse. I struggle to wear lace up shoes at times as well which seems to make the problem worse. I have found that the gator type of slip on shoes are the best for me and offer some relief but in the end it’s all about standing and then sitting when needed to control the symptoms. I recently resigned from a job because the pain of being on my feet for 8 plus hours without a break was almost crippling. Good luck with your treatment.

I can't walk bare foot any more. I have to have something with a solid sole on it. Even slippers. And I trip a lot if I don't have a solid sole on my feet.

I have the same thing, feet especially painful at night and first thing on morning. Sometimes too painful to walk. I'm only 60 but shuffle around like i'm 90 at times.

Both of my ankles n feet constantly painful up into the calves n knees as well. Some swelling, mushy ankles, rotting toothache pain, constant spasticity, easy to sprain/ rip-tear type injuries/ tendonitis, fasciitis, bursitis, etc., and so on- and this all applies to just about all joints n spine.

One med that helps a bit n that is Tizanidine ( muscle relaxer). Doesn't take away but better than nothing or anything I've used so far ( except Prednisone).
