I was prescribed Gabapentin, was ok taking one pill a night, but when I took one at night and one in the morning I got angry, cried a lot and was thinking suicidal thoughts. So I called my pcp up and told him. He still wanted me to take one at night! I wasnt helping me anyway. Should I try it again?

It’s so bad for the brain, it stops new synapses, I refuse to take it.

Yes, I had horrible swelling & fluid retention on the high dose of Gabapentin. Then my dosage was reduced but increased to take 4 per day instead of 3. This seems to be working well for me.

Gabapentin do seem to be very helpful for some people, my husband finds they help him a lot but I suppose like all meds they don't suit everyone.

Gaba is for nerve whatever, seizures really and a mild booster if you have serious mental health issues (and I have those) as long as you taper off slowly due to the half life you won't feel the headache. It really doesn't cause suicidal thoughts. It is great for epilepsy (not too severe) and if you suffer from aura migraines which I have both. It's not addictive but certain meds you don't ever do cold turkey. Gaba works directly to your brain.
