HLA-B27 is a gene that some, but not all, sufferers of Ankylosing Spondylitis carry. Its nothing new. And it isn't a requirement to have AS. And you can have the gene, but not AS. Its just another diagnostic tool Rheumis use, out of many, to diagnose AS.

I hope you get some sleep and wake up tomorrow feeling better. I find heating pad or heated blanket helpful when my hips and SIs flare. Hang in there.😌🙏

I was asking who have been diagnosed with this new autoimmune disease that also have AS. I see where someone already asked. Laying here exhausted, headache and overall body aches so I was doing symptoms research and this popped up🤔 hip joint pain is 😫😫😫. I’m not really expecting to get any sleep tonight😞
