Wondering How You Know When Your Vertebrae Are Ankylosing More Or In Other Areas?
A MySpondylitisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Having more pain at waist and upper thoracic areas. Dr doesn't see need to xray any more as results would not change treatment plan.

Mine has moved to my neck. I will be driving from Florida to Virginia a week from today. Wish me luck.

I had the same issue with a newer Doc who did not believe I had AS because I did not have the marker. I’ve been in treatment for AS for over 8 yrs & had been on Remicade infusions for 6 yrs. So I had my Primary Cate Doctor find another referral. After examining me & hearing my story & reading my records, the new Doctor took me off Remicade & I transferred to her! A Big difference!

Thanks. I have not needed advanced therapy as yet. Controlled by NSAIDS so far. I have had this for around 40 years but dx this year. I know that the orthopedic dr saw fusing on a xray when I was 30 but said it was most likely a genetic defect. Hummmm??
