I am going for a CT of the chest on Monday, I have what appears to be bone growth on my ribs according to ultrasound.
I also have shortness of breath on occasion.
My doctors thought it was anxiety, but I know it’s not. It comes randomly at rest mostly, or sometimes after coffee.
It feels like my rib cage is too tight around my lungs.
Thank you so much for this! 🥲
I can do that!
My grandma must’ve had AS, but they told her that her bamboo spine was due to osteoporosis.
She started having difficulty breathing, and although she quit smoking 30 years earlier, they said she passed from emphysema. I believe it was because her lungs were crushing her chest.
I will not go down without a fight!
Thank you so much @A MySpondylitisTeam Member, this is officially my first sign of hope!!
God bless you ✨💗✨
For years, I get what feels like a muscle spasm on the Right side of my breast bone. Only it isn't a spasm, the muscle stays tight and have to wait for it it pass ..it's horrible, and so random
I’ve had pain in lower right rib most of my life and now wonder if it is part of my AS. It comes and goes.
No!
@A MySpondylitisTeam Member - yes Lauren! Same 🙋🏼♀️. Deep breathing exercises are really good when it gets too tight. It’s getting hard when I lay down and sleep on my side. I guess it’s another AS “bonus” round. 💁🏼♀️
