Sweet, nice treat. Since I can't eat wheat. I might just do the same. Tempted to get out a little cooking blow-torch and make a little crusted topping for a small scope of ice-cream or yogurt.
Crème brûlée, yes! Glad it takes just a little time. Like you, I limit surgary foods. Too much sugar activates the bad bacteria of my gut biome, this triggers an immune system response that escalates into an AS/PS flare-up. And, fatty foods do the same. So, small amounts of ice-cream and chips (with no wheat). Very happy for your husband's remission and freedom to eat such delicious foods!
Brian2 liked your comment about your gut. Really good to know tom also has the gut problem. I'll be passing that along. Bad gut can ruin your hole day.
