Thank you for the information. My PT wants me to walk but I'm finding I have more pain. I have been swimming which is quite painless. I do have a stationary bike so I need to try that.
I feel like my pain is coming from soft tissue, muscles, tendons, cartilage. I've had torn muscles and also have a right hip labrum tear. The pain is debilitating. My heating pad is my best friend. I have a quartz heating pad with stones. It is amazing!
Hi Debbie! Unfortunately yes, including lower lumbar. I have erosion in both hips which is caused by years of not being diagnosed correctly. Had I been on treatments earlier years, would have slowed the progression. However in addition to taking my AS prescription, using Biofreeze and a heating pad does help greatly.
Hip pain is the worst. I just saw my Rheumatologist this week and we discussed the pain I have, in both hips. He thinks that I may have bursitis. He is referring me to PT for hydrotherapy and ultrasound. I start next week. Hopefully that will ease some of the pain. Humira has helped but it is wearing off too soon. I do stretches everyday, which helps. Hope you get some relief. Hugs, Wanda
Before I was labelled as Disabled, and unfortunate as this sounds, living it was worse. Here is the scenario. 2016 x-ray and MRI show L5 broken in 3 places and S1 being impinged. Application for disability denied. Bank account depleted..not qualified for assistance..return to work or become homeless...I worked from 2017 till Dec 8, 2020. January 13, 2021 I had C4-C7 ACDF Surgery. I had no choice, and battled Soc Sec for 2 years and 2 months and was finally deemed disabled. I am lucky to be a veteran and I am also able to receive my healthcare through the VA now as well.
Anyway, for the years between 2016 and 2021 while working, I made it through every day by taking opioids. I guess I'm trying to say, I have lost a great deal of mobility, but, I try and keep all my parts moving. I am terrified to lose anymore of my agility. The opioids definitely cut the pain enough to allow me to start moving. Once I get going, it is a slow process but I get all of me moving. Once I stop, it is worse than first getting up..my whole stretch and move process has to start again
I am 61 years old, and had bilateral hip replacements in 2004-2005. My left hip was replaced twice! First one got infected and they had to go back in 3 weeks later and replace the replacement
