Thank you. Yes inflammation is definitely a big problem for me. Prednisone helps but I can’t stay on it because it can cause cancer. I have basically just about stopped eating. I am back on cucumbers yet I wash them but I’m sure it does nothing for the insecticide. When I fry okra I use a small amount of olive oil. They have gotten it to almost impossible to eat healthy as I can’t afford to. We grow a garden but I can’t can my food like I used to I can’t stand very long at a time. I feel like a yo-yo lol sit, walk, stand and lay down like a trained puppy. Thank you for the helpful advice I will definitely be trying everything that I can.

Welcome @A MySpondylitisTeam Member ! I’m new as well. I think we’re in a good place. Whats your journey look like? Diagnoses, Hobbies, favorite thing to do when you’re having a pretty good day ?

I was diagnosed with general Spondylosis and Fibromyalgia 13 1/3 yrs ago which left me disabled. I worked for Sprint for 23 yrs so there was a lot of stress involved when my condition made its self known 😤. Lots of specialists and tests (like everyone else) then the failed back surgery 🫤.
My disease really started progressing the end of last summer. The pain was unbearable and crazy things started popping up So I started the specialists and testing journey again and still going. Now I have 4 autoimmune diseases- Fibromyalgia (still), Psoriatic Arthritis, Ankylosing Spondylitis and Vitiligo (bonus) ! So researching communities and other peoples experiences has been part of the journey for answers. That’s why I showed up here.

I’m currently in a flare up and would love to back at the beach 🏖️. We were there for a week recently. I always feel so good in the sunshine, salty air & water 🥰. It’s my happy place.

Thanks for reading! My hope is that you and everyone else will share a little piece of their journey, experiences and happy places, etc ☺️

I take magnesium, B-12, D3. The B12 helps with the fatigue. I just started on a biologic. I feel it has decreased my pain by about 50°\° so far I am very pleased. Hip and back pain is a 10 out of 10 most days. Find a good rheumatologist and talk with them.
