Hi, How Do You Deal With The Pain? I Have Been Miserable For 8 Weeks Now And Nothing Seems To Help
I have been using a cane most of the time. It helps relieve pressure on the joints so i am able to walk without the intense pain. I have started on Humira but it hasn't helped me yet. Hopeful for some relief soon. I cannot take pain medicine, tylenol, advil or anything of the sort because i am already dealing with liver issues and those pain meds will make it worse.
Like the comments above, moving your body is essential…just make sure you’re moving in ways that are gentle. I also do a lot of meditation, which helps me with my stress…I know stress increases the pain.
I've dealt with it almost everyday for 12 yrs until diagnosed and it's just something you get used to. I have ankylosing spondylitis and I usually only hurt when I'm inactive so even when it's hurting I try to get up and do stuff. I also take hot baths they seem to help at night when I wake in extreme pain

How long have you been on Humira now? I am supposed to start at the end of this month.
