The second one comes from age disease, the first one comes from systemic and genetic disease. I'm not sure but I think you might be lucky to have the one that is age related.

Is Spondylitis An Autoimmune Disease Too ?
A MySpondylitisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I am a newly diagnosed patient with Spondylosis. My condition is very advanced, considering I'm just 33 years old. I have a plethora of non pain related symptoms all day everyday in Conjunction with my pain and limited mobility. Is this considered an autoimmune disease too?

Vaccines While On Biologics?
A MySpondylitisTeam Member asked a question 💭

My doctor wants me to get the shingles and pneumonia vaccines. Technically I’m not at that age yet, but due to the biologics they said I now qualify. Has anyone taken them while on biologics? Did you do ok with them, and how long after your infusion did you wait before getting them? If you had both at the same time, any downside to that? Sorry so many questions!

How To Get An Official Diagnosis
A MySpondylitisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hi! I have been diagnosed with spondylolisthesis grade 1 at L5/S1. Recent X-ray showed spondylosis. I am wondering if it is infact spondylitis because it seems to flare. How can I go about getting a diagnosis? What questions should I be asking so I can advocate for myself? Did you ask your GP or rheumatologist?

It’s worse at rest. Night time is hard because I can’t stay comfortable.

Is Anyone Hla Negative And Still Diagnosed As?
A MySpondylitisTeam Member asked a question 💭

My doc tried to get me in a drug trial but the mri didn’t show inflammation and hla b27 was negative so I don’t qualify. Now I’m stressed that this info will make him rethink my diagnosis. I was happy(sort of) to finally having an answer to why I’m in so much pain all the time and get on track to feeling better(sort of). His diagnosis was based on deteriorating of the si joints caught on an X-ray.
