Biologicals And Cancer
A MySpondylitisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I am interested in trying Biologics however, the side effects are terrifying! I am a recent breast cancer survivor and am worried that the infusions/injections could bring it back. Has anyone been in a similar situation? Thank you so much!

Was on Humira (TNF inhibitor) for many years. Had a lot of skin cancer including melanoma requiring major surgery. Had to quit due to depleting efficacy and continued reoccurrence of skin cancer. Don't know if this helps, but any autoimmune suppressant is likely to increase your risk for cancer.

Take Good Care
