Members opened up about the wide range of comorbidities they experience alongside ankylosing spondylitis, including non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, leukemia, atrial fibrillation, and blood clots. Several members shared personal experiences with medical marijuana for pain and symptom management, noting its effectiveness for appetite, pain control, and sleep but also acknowledging concerns about cost, legality, potency, and potential side effects like memory issues. A recurring theme was the emotional and physical exhaustion of managing multiple serious conditions, met with community encouragement to keep fighting, explore all treatment options, and lean on faith and connection during the hardest moments.

I have a long laundry list of issues on top of AS.
Marijuana is legal here both medical and recreational, I smoked when I was a kid [long time ago, decades] but I'm not in a big hurry to start again quite yet, I am sure at some point I may. The pot now days is 10 time's more strong than when I smoked it. Not sure I could afford the grocery bill๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜Ž

I'm so sorry you are going thru all this but giving up not the answer .I suggest you vape some marijuana to help get appetite going and eat that will start making you feel stronger .My husband had similar circumstances and it just helped him so much plus try some Christian music to help lift your spirit and find someone you can't talk to maybe in a group thru zoom calls it just helps so much to know that you are not alone.. prayers for you to get back to living with some peace

It expensive because insurance does not cover mmj. Oral dosing is excellent for pain control and sleep aid. I'm no longer using pain or sleeping pills.
