I'm finding it more and more difficult to sleep at night. I fall asleep without any trouble, but I wake up often in pain. I tried proping my head and knees up. That worked for a few years, but now my neck hurts. So read that those suffering from AS should sleep with a thin pillow and straight body, no proping up of the knees.
I tried that last night and woke up in even more all body pain.
I use a 2 old pillows. I put both pillows in one pillow case. While laying on my side, with my knees bent, Iknees to alleviate the pain & the pressure on my lower back, knees, hips and lower back . Hope you find some relief
I have no idea if this would work for you. Have you ever tried an inversion table?
Sleeping without proping up is not happening here. I do have an adjustable bed, make it easier. I have to sleep on my side sometimes. Neck pain is bad no matter what pillow i use. Been through dozens. Ever feel like you wish you could sleep in traction? I want my entire spine to mildly stretch and give some relief.
How does the Tens unit help n if it does help? How do I get one?
