I Am Wondering If Spondylitis Causes Pain Throughout Spine?
A MySpondylitisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I am wondering if spondylitis causes pain throughout spine. I have trouble in neck, between shoulder blades, just above hips, and lower back. I also have arthritis in ribs and sternum and sometimes develop some mean costochondritis pain. I dont know if its all on account of spondylitis.

A MySpondylitisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hello everyone

Right now what I can see when I'm one Humira that my neck, shoulders, and upper back stiffness improve But NOT my Lower back. A MySpondylitisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have a lot of hand, finger, and shoulder arthritis so I’m leaning towards the standing ones. Any advice?

A MySpondylitisTeam Member

I wound up getting an upright. The price was reasonable and it supports me without hunching over. I’m 5’8” and even higher regular ones were lacking. This one is superb. Only gripe is when you sit on… read more

What Tens Unit Do You Use?
A MySpondylitisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Daily, I use the ireliev tens wired system to help manage lower back pain. At one point I tried the ireliev wireless system, but the power pod sits in the center of my spine. Not an issue when upright or walking, but sitting, driving or sleeping it’s a no go. That being said, I am finding the wired system is not strong. What brand do you use, do you find it effective?

A MySpondylitisTeam Member

Thank you for the response. Sorry the TENS didn’t work for you. They are a true help to me, grateful that I have one. It usually takes two 60 minutes sessions to “scramble” my pain center when it’s… read more

Just curious to what my fellow AS’ers do for pain control.
How many of you use marijuana and does it help you? Or pain patches, opioids or anything else.

Thanks-😊

Does Anyone Else Have Spinal Stenosis And Resulting Leg Numbness/pain/weakness When Walking?
A MySpondylitisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Does anyone else have spinal stenosis and resulting leg numbness/pain/weakness when walking? I’ve had stenosis affecting my walking to some degree since I was 26. I keep hearing I’m “too young,” so I’m just curious if others on here experience it as well.

A MySpondylitisTeam Member

Spinal stenosis is a pain. Pun intended. It's a different type of pain especially when it takes your legs out suddenly. It lingers around. I find a tumeric and collagen smoothie helps take the edge… read more
