Any tips on Humira would be great. I might possibly switch from Remicade to Humira.
Humira was the best thing to happen to me - it controlled my flares substantially. I never was on Remicade, so can't comment on that. But definitely will say, Humira pens are easy to take - no more infusions thankfully. The only downside with Humira (or any biologic treatment) is that you are more prone to infections. If anyone around me has a cold or a mild infection I will definitely get it. But it is still worth it, because Humira really helped me with the pain and daily management of the AS.
Humira has been a lifesaver for me. I can do so much more with less pain. I'll have more good days than bad ones and they are more controllable. I do suggest getting the pens. It took me years to figure that out. I do get sick more often and it's a more severe than it was before. And It takes longer to fight a cold. I have also started taking Stress B-Complex to help build up my immune system. Overall the bad out weights the good and for me it's totally worth it.
Hi, Humira really works for me, although that was given to me as a first option. Pre-filled pens are great, so easy to use. I did find myself at first a little tired but not sure if that was from the humira itself or just me at the time. Ive been taking it since 2010 - originally inject every 2 weeks now every 3
