The article mentions that one of the symptoms is sometimes psoriasis, in addition to other common psoriatic arthritis symptoms such as heel pain and IBD etc. Wouldn't the correct diagnosis then be Psoriatic Spondylitis? Whats the difference when there is no evident fusion? Do treatments between the two differ?

Hi — I am positive for the HLA B27 gene. I am 57 years old. In 2018 and then again in June 2023 I had episodes of widespread body pain that lasted 8 weeks each time. I ask this b/c I have the gene, but my rheumatologist diagnosed me w/ spondyloarthropathy. I have lymphatic colitis, iritis (off/on for years), sacroilitis, and my right hip is bone on bone, so I am having hip replacement in May. Plus my ortho surgeon told me I have lots of arthritis in my back. 🤷🏻♀️
