A MySpondylitisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Sun Intolerance With AS
A MySpondylitisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Has anyone else experienced sensitivity to heat or the sun? If I get the least bit warm, or the minute I step outside in the sun I feel like I’m being stabbed all over with pins and needles. It is really frustrating, I cannot even be outside to watch my son play or go to the park because of this. Hoping when I start the biologic it helps. The medrol dose pack helped for a little while then it came back.

Has Anyone Had Trouble Losing Weight After Being Put On Prednisone?
A MySpondylitisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I was only diagnosed about a year and a half ago. My doctor wanted me to try Prednisone for 2 weeks tapering me off it in those two weeks to confirm I have AS. I gained 30 pounds in just two short weeks and now am really struggling to get it off. It has also made my body ache more since I am carrying the extra weight. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I could do? Thank you for the help!
