Does Anyone With SI Joint Involvement Get Flares In Hip To The Point They Can't Walk Or Put Pressure On Effected Hip/leg/buttocks??
A MySpondylitisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I had a PT appointment yesterday. He was very good!! But, I am still not convinced this is not a part of AS and I am curious if a biologic will help me get moving again. He said it seems there is a tendon / and possibly piriformis muscle that is causing me problems. I always feel it slightly, like level 1-2 pain, but then sometimes it starts aching and will be level 4 for and get worse and then it will get to a point I can't put pressure on hip/leg and it is so weak. When it gets to that pint, I… read more

Pillows…how Do You Use Them?
A MySpondylitisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I’m always on the hunt for the perfect pillow. The one that will wrap around the middle of my back and tush. Can’t sleep with a pillow under my head due to AS neck issues. But I currently use a pillow between my knees and one wrapped around my back & tush but it’s not great. I feel like there must be something better.

How do you take advantage of pillows to get comfy in the bed?

Sudden Onset Of Extreme Pain
A MySpondylitisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I’m new here so please bear with me. 3 days ago I was feeling good and went outside to do some light cleanup. After a couple of hours I sat down to take a rest and BOOM- I felt like I was hit by a truck! I suddenly had all my normal spots on fire plus others - low back, hip, knee, neck, shoulder, wrist, hands, fingers, toes, rib cage. Even my skin hurt in places when I touched it. I had one of the worst headaches ever. Felt dizzy, off balance, and a little nauseous. Slept all afternoon… read more
