I was recently diagnosed with SA and told I had a "good prognosis". I was started on a prednisone taper and weekly methotrexate and I feel like I'm getting worse steadily. I use a cane to walk, but that isn't enough. Everyone says to walk, but walking is so painful that I can barely navigate to the bathroom. Poor you am same as you and somtimes I take any pain relief I can get my hands on sometimes the pain does get little lesser and I only just taken on top of all my other painkillers simple paracetamol and it seems to really take the edge off pain .I am on strong pain relief as well

No and reading some of these other stories scares me I am 47 and it seems to get worse with age. Acupuncture on the regular and stretching can help alleviate my pain however there are days I spend on the floor...

Does nothing for pain. You need pain meds to cope. Try another doctor if necessary
