I slipped in the shower about 4 weeks ago. Didn't fall far at but hit the rim of the tub in the exact spot my spine snapped. It felt like I broke it again. Called the Doc & told me to get there as quick as I could. They took 4 X-Ray. All screws were in place & no new damage. You could see the bone actually growing over the screw head. I was fine. Bottle of pain meds & a 4 to 6 recovery. Scared the he'll out of me but it looks ok. I sure hope you can get over your problems. Don't let it get too far in your head. I'll talk to you anytime. Be safe.

My spine fused almost completely except for #1. It has a noticeable curve. About 6 years ago I fell backwards & my spine snapped like a pencil. I didn't know that at the time. I was 200 miles from home. I had to call my wife to come get me. Never felt such pain. Got to the ER at home. It took 3 guys to vet me out of the car. The Doc couldn't believe what the X-Ray showed. He said with the ride back home, I should be paralyzed from breast down. Now I have a titanium spine. It looks like a ladder. So far so good. Please stay safe.
